What Are Checkpoints?
Every time you send a message and the AI generates or modifies a clip, a checkpoint is automatically created. Checkpoints represent different points in your conversation history, each with its own version of the animation.
Think of it as a branching conversation β each edit request creates a new branch, and you can switch between branches to compare different versions.
How Checkpoints Work
Checkpoints are created automatically as you chat:
Each AI generation or edit creates a checkpoint
All versions are preserved β nothing is lost when you make changes
You can switch between any previous version at any time
Switching to a Previous Version
To go back to an earlier version:
Find the checkpoint you want in the conversation history
Click on it to switch to that version
Your preview updates instantly to show that version's animation
Note: Switching versions doesn't delete anything. All branches are preserved, so you can freely switch back and forth between different versions to compare them.
When to Use Checkpoints
Experimenting with styles β Try a different look, then revert if you prefer the original
Recovering from mistakes β If a chat edit went wrong, go back to the previous version
Comparing versions β Switch between versions to decide which one works better
Tips
Check versions before starting over β Before re-generating from scratch, see if a previous version is closer to what you want
Use checkpoints as safety nets β Feel free to experiment knowing you can always go back
